According to the New York Daily News, David Tyree made the most of his opportunities at the Giants’ Thursday night practice session. According to beat writer Ralph Vacchiano:
- David Tyree made a nice leaping catch early on a pass from a shaky David Carr. Tyree makes plays when he’s given an opportunity. The opportunities, though, are a problem. In the two-minute drill at the end of practice, Carr went to Tyree three straight times on the sidelines. Tyree didn’t have a chance to catch any of the three balls.
- Another no-shot play for Tyree. The Giants ran a flea flicker with the third team and the defense completely snuffed it out. QB Andre’ Woodson ended up floating a pass into triple coverage. Somehow Tyree got his hand up, tipped it once, tipped it twice and … just missed holding on as he fell onto the sideline.
