David Tyree‘s ongoing quest to make the New York Giants’ final 53-man roster took another discouraging turn, as the receiver is expected to miss Saturday’s preseason game against the Jets with a hamstring injury, Giants.com’s Michael Eisen reports.

Also not expected to play for the Giants on Saturday are defensive linemen Chris Canty (hamstring) and Jay Alford (knee), cornerbacks Aaron Ross (hamstring) and Stoney Woodson (ankle), linebackers Antonio Pierce (foot) and Michael Boley (PUP/hip), offensive lineman Orrin Thompson (quad) and running back Andre Brown (Achilles).
