What is On The Fringe?
More than 2,500 players will compete for roster spots in NFL training camps this year. For some, camp is a formality; their jobs are secure. For others, each practice is a fight for their NFL life.
Over the next few months, NFL.com will follow five such players “On The Fringe” of the NFL, sharing their stories, their progress and their setbacks. All have until Aug. 31 — or Sept. 4, if they're lucky — to make their case.
